Where I started my life on Irving Ave off Dekalb Ave above a store. Maria Hernandez was the neighborhood park to chase pigeons and play on swings and Knickerbocker Ave was our mall. Me and mom rode the LL (not a typo) to Manhattan and the GG into Greenpoint. Whenever I stayed home, it was with my sitter in a 6 family row building on Harman St. Fond memories of the time where every block was like the theme song of a Cheers episode. Welcome to the Bushwick I remember.Â
